Trump is turning our cities into war zones

ree

Donald Trump recently signed an executive order called, in his trademark ALL CAPS:“ADDITIONAL MEASURES TO ADDRESS THE CRIME EMERGENCY IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA.”The name alone belongs on a straight-to-DVD action flick starring washed-up actors, not on an executive order from the White House.

But tucked inside is the real insanity: he’s ordering Pete Hegseth to build him a permanent National Guard “Quick Reaction Force” he can unleash anywhere in the country.

In military terms, a QRF means combat troops ready to roll in 15 minutes, primed to arrive on site and instantly engage weapons.

Trump’s plan is to point them at everyday Americans, at protestors, and at cities that dare to stand up to him.

He wants riot control with a combat mission patch.

And Jack Bergman, a former combat Marine who knows damn well where these orders can lead, is doing nothing while Trump rewrites the mission of the Guard to turn rifles inward on our own communities.

If Bergman wants to sit on his hands while Trump plays Generalissimo, fine. Chip in now so we can send him into retirement and make sure Northern Michigan has a representative who knows democracy is worth fighting for.

And just in case you thought this was bluster, Trump spent the weekend posting a meme about Chicago “finding out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”

The AI-slop image had him in aviators with “Chipocalypse Now” plastered across it like a middle-school Photoshop project.

Trump, Hegseth, and the band of cronies egging this on would be laughable if they weren’t literally rewriting the mission of the U.S. military to turn it into Trump’s own police state pageant.

And the worst part is he’s telling us straight to our faces what he’s doing.

Twice in one week he bragged about wanting to be a dictator. Believe him.

The only way to stop this circus before it arms itself is to flip Congress.

Every MAGA seat is a cog in Trump’s civil war machine, and if we don’t contest every one of them, this blueprint becomes reality.

As families are drowning in the cost of living crisis, struggling to keep a roof over their heads and put food on the table, Trump has made civil war his top domestic agenda.

Help me take on Trump’s enablers, end this dictator cosplay before it becomes live fire, and elect a Congress that actually works for the people.

Let’s get to work.
