I solve problems for a living, and we have a lot of problems in Congress

I'm Wayne Stiles, and I'm running for Congress because Michigan deserves someone who shows up, speaks plainly, and actually solves problems without the BS.
I like to say that I have an engineer's mindset and a citizen's heart.
Growing up in a hardworking union family, I learned early on about the fight for dignity, security, and fairness. My career as an industrial designer, my volunteer work in the community, and my family have taught me how to turn those values into real, lasting solutions.
But in the last 10 years we’ve seen extremism, greed, and corruption strip away the fundamental rights of hardworking Americans – shutting down opportunities for my kids and yours.
And like you, I decided I’m not going to just sit and watch this happen.
Part of the problem is right here in Michigan's 1st Congressional District, where Congressman Jack Bergman has chosen extremism in lockstep with Donald Trump, voting the MAGA line over the needs of Michiganders.
You and I both know this isn't just a local problem. It's a symptom of a nationwide erosion of accountability, fairness, and any sense of a moral compass that should come with elected office.
Like you, I've watched as Bergman has ignored the struggles people face every day: medical bills that completely wipe people out financially, jobs disappearing, and basic rights under attack.
This campaign is for all of us who care about our country and our future. It's for everyone who’s tired of extremism and ready to fight for your family, your community, and a fairer, safer, more just America.
Together, we have a chance to stand up to extremism right here in MI-01, reclaim our democracy, and rebuild an economy that works for all of us.
Fixing problems is in my nature, and it's been my job my whole life. When I see a problem, I evaluate it, work towards a solution, and move on to the next problem. I’m ready to take those skills to Washington to fight for all of us.
I hope you'll join me, because the future of Michigan and the country is on the line.
I’m not a career politician. I don’t come from money, power, or privilege. I’m just a regular hardworking American raised on Rust Belt values who wants to make a difference, but I know I can’t do it alone.
Our first task is to get one guardrail back up on our democracy, and it starts right here. When elected, I won’t BS you about our challenges, I’ll show up to do the work, speak plainly about what’s broken, and fix problems the same way I’ve done my whole life.
You’ll hear more on the next steps from me soon.
Let’s get to work,
Wayne Stiles |
